After a successful 30+ year career with The Gap, Disney, Claire’s, Dreamworks, and 20th Century Fox, Fielding turned his talents to entrepreneurial pursuits, higher education, independent media, and advisory work. Leveraging his experience and drive to make the world a better place, he has channeled his energy and enthusiasm into a diverse set of innovative engagements. His team has led successful engagements with Peanuts Worldwide, Nearest Green Distillery, Delaware North, and the development of the retail spaces at Intuit Dome, the new home of the Los Angeles Clippers.
Fielding launched his professional speaking and executive coaching practices in 2024. He has presented on a wide variety of topics and for clients including Oshkosh Inc., Salesforce, and CVS Health, with groups from 50 to 800 attendees. His coaching practice is focused on individual personal and professional growth as well as team culture and performance development. Each coaching engagement is tailored to the needs of the client and the team environment and developed in collaboration with clear and focused goals. Fielding’s professional services are firmly rooted in his personal career experience as well as the leadership lessons from his book. He has a growth mindset and obtained his executive coaching education at the Emory University Goizueta Graduate Business School and is pursuing his full ICF certification.
Fielding is an extremely proud Buckeye native and Hoosier alum. In addition to his major in political science from the College with an outside field in business administration, Fielding has served on dean’s councils and advisory boards. Fielding is committed to giving back through a variety of endowed scholarships and internship opportunities and has dedicated his time and talent to mentor students and entrepreneurs in the IU family.
An active angel investor and philanthropist, Fielding works closely with start-up and nonprofit organizations. He serves on the board of directors for the Indiana University Foundation and is the chairperson of the Queer Philanthropy Circle. Fielding also serves on the board of directors for Xcel Brands—a NASDAQ-traded branded fashion corporation—and is a board member of A Frame Brands, Spinach Media, and Apply Stickers. He’s a proud supporter of the Trevor Project, the Victory Fund, the Point Foundation, and other national Queer foundations. He is currently focused on the strategy and fundraising for the LGBTQ+ History and Community center in Atlanta. Fielding resides there with his husband, Dr. Joseph Langham, and their two dogs, Cricket and Olive.
