Lux et Veritas Scholars Program

Why it matters

The Lux et Veritas program enables the College to attract high-achieving students from an array of backgrounds who might otherwise be unable to attend. By offering financial support and unparalleled experiential learning opportunities, the College helps students reach their full potential.

Scholarships help reduce the financial strain on students, allowing them to focus on their education and personal development. Whether it’s pursuing research, studying abroad, or an internship, this scholarship program removes barriers and opens doors to experiences that shape well-rounded, career-ready graduates.

Each named scholarship under the Lux et Veritas umbrella becomes part of a distinguished cohort, creating a sense of community and collaboration. These scholars learn from one another and build lifelong networks. The sense of belonging and purpose strengthens their experience and deepens their connection to the College and IU.

Internships

For students in unpaid or underpaid internships, this stipend allows them to gain critical, real-world experience without financial hardship.

Undergraduate research

The stipend enables students to participate in research programs, fostering innovation and collaboration with faculty on cutting-edge projects.

Study abroad

Students can explore different cultures, languages, and global perspectives, enriching their education and broadening their worldviews.

Service-learning

Students can engage in community and service-related initiatives, aligning classroom learning with hands-on service to society.

Naming opportunities

Named scholarships under the Lux et Veritas umbrella allow donors to create a legacy that will last generations. Donors may choose to direct their support to specific fields—such as the arts and humanities, social sciences, or natural sciences—or to individual disciplines like Chemistry, Political Science, or History, as examples. The generosity of our donors enables these scholarships to meet the greatest needs of the College, cultivating talent across a wide range of disciplines.

Expanding opportunities and transforming lives

The Lux et Veritas Scholars Program is ambitious in its scope, with an initial goal of securing funding for at least 250 scholarships by 2030, transforming the College experience and career trajectories for hundreds of students.

Your support of this program makes a profound difference in the lives of our students, our state, and the world. These scholarships not only make a world-class education more accessible by removing financial barriers but also allow students to take full advantage of immersive learning experiences that prepare them for the challenges of tomorrow.

By investing in the Lux et Veritas Scholars, you are helping the College recruit the brightest minds, foster innovation, and develop leaders who will serve their communities with distinction.

"Supporting the Lux et Veritas Scholars Program is a deeply human investment—one that transforms students’ lives and opens paths they may otherwise never have imagined. In doing so, your legacy becomes part of every breakthrough they achieve, every community they serve, and the brighter future they help build."
